Couple of weeks ago Condé Nast International Chairman Jonathan Newhouse announced the “Health Initiative” that encourages a healthy body awareness in the fashion industry. Therefore the publishing house released a six point plan that all international VOGUE issues are going to follow starting with their June issues. This plan’s terms of reference regards especially the work with models. For exmaple: not working with models who are younger than 16 or obviously suffering from a eating disorder. According to that German VOGUE did a shoot with Peter Lindbergh for its June issue titled “The Naked Truth”. The German photographer captured models Toni Garrn, Katrin Thormann, Luca Gajdus, Julia Stegner, Nadja Auermann, Jana Drews, Hanna Wähmer, actresses Nina Hoss and Karina Krawczyk, photographer Donata Wenders and German VOGUE’s editor in chief Christiane Arp in beautiful black and white pictures – without retouching and make-up! Awesome!
