Phoebe Philo, creative mastermind of Céline, will not present her new fall/winter collection with a fashion show in Paris this March it was announced. Okay, you can now start breathing again, because the reason couldn’t be lovelier: Phoebe Philo is expecting her third child in April! Instead the Céline fall/winter collection will be shown within an informal presentation to a small crowd of journalists, which Philo will attend. Marco Gobbetti, chief execuitve officer at Céline told WWD: “A runway show is a very demanding and personal engagement for a creative director. The objective is to simplify.” As a mother of four I can totally understand Philo’s decision and anyway I’m of course looking forward to the new collection!
